When the set was being
designed, the over-riding aim was that it
should work equally well in a school hall as in
a theatre.
The set consists of 2 circular revolves &
1 square revolve. The circular ones are 11ft
diameter. Each circular revolve is split into 3
segments, which together with the square
revolve form the 3 main scenes. :
Dormitory/Office, Street/Radio Studio &
Warbuck's House/White House.
This means that whilst one scene is playing,
the next 2 scenes can be pre-set. The revolves
are operated manually & the circular ones
require 2 people/revolve to operate & the
square one requires 1 person. Thus a team of 5
can easily run the show.
In operation, the scenes flow smoothly &
without pause. The effect of having 3 revolves
operating simultaneously is very dramatic.
The only requirement is that the centre of the
revolves can be screwed to the stage with
woodscrews. If this is not possible, we can supply a
chipboard sub-floor.

Period wheelchair

Dogcatchers trolley
2 microphone heads (Radio Studio scene)
Ventriloquist's dummy
